Situated close to the very well known Piazzetta in Portofino, the San Giorgio Hotel Portofino is housed in a quiet and relaxing location, in the shade of the trees, between the mountain and the fishermen's houses. There are many good restaurants within walking distance.

当日に配管が壊れたということで、宿泊を楽しみにしていた同ホテルではなく、近くのグループホテルに回された。海辺のホテルということであったが、小さな窓から少し海が見える程度で、プライベート・ビーチも猫の額ほどだった。部屋も狭くバスタブなしで、同じ料金を払う気になれなかった。何よりもSan Giorgio Hotelのレセプションの女性の悪びれない態度に腹が立った。Portofinoよりも近くのSanta Margherita Ligureに泊まる方が賢明かもしれない。
